After old roof felt / boarding has been stripped away and disposed, new 18mm OSB boarding will be applied. Sometimes depending on the roof rafter structure, a postive slope towards the gutter will need to be installed too.
The boarding is applied with a water based adhesive glue. The membrane is then rolled out slowly, brushing away any bubbles. Any upstands will have a stronger glue to hold against the brickwork.
White or black trims are applied to the edge, gutter and upstands to protect the roof from water entering, keeps the rubber from expanding and contracting due to the seasonal climates and to give an attractive finish.
